The Air Ride Wool Shim Numnah has a shim pocket into which you can insert shims to alter the fit of your saddle. The pocket is shaped so will hole the shim in place , enabling you to cut the shim to the perfect length.
If you have a very sensitive horse who requires even more cushioning you can add a pair of full Air Mesh shims to the numnah
We recommend you use our air Mesh shims to allow the numnah to breath as intended. They are available in pairs of full or half shims  The Air Ride Wool numnahs are an exciting mix of old and new technologies. Wool has been used for many years for it excellent cushioning and breathability. It has previously been used with quilt which severely limited the ability to draw heat and moisture away from the horses back .

The numnahs have a true high wither design and site well up into the arch or the saddle

The  wool used in these numnahs  will give very good cushioning, and as it has many tufts of wool per square inch it will resist compaction  much better than many other brands The wool is woven into a backing so will wash well, unlike wools still on the skin, which are hard to maintain well.
Instead of quilt the numnahs use air mesh. The modern material again gives excellent cushioning, and is thin and lightweight. Its biggest advantage is its ability to breath so allowing the heat and moisture to be drawn away from the horse.
I have used this mixture of Air mesh and wool for 10 years and it works so well. These new numnahs differ from my original in they have a n improved top line and for the first time are available in different colours
